Academics: 

 

History: This week finalized our study of ancient Greece. Next week, scholars will learn about the geography of the Americas!

 

Science: This week, scholars reviewed what they've learned about insects during an exciting game of Jeopardy! Next week, on Tuesday (Dec 10), students will show what they know by completing an Insect Test. Please help your child use their Insect Study Guide to prepare. On Thursday (Dec 12), we will learn about a historic entomologist, Dr. Margaret S. Collins!

 

Literature: Next week, we will read about Narcissus and Icarus and the Trojan War story. Students will enjoy seasonal and holiday texts the following week (12/16-19).

 

Grammar: Scholars will learn the next part of speech, the interjection. Students will work on writing a dictated sentence and review grammar concepts. Students will write their final paragraph for their insect research project.


Math: Students will finish learning about subtraction with renaming and then begin the chapter review in preparation for the chapter test on 12/16.
